Hi everyone!
I am excited to talk on here about being accepted to the Engineering Ministries International (EMI) internship. Maybe you remember the time I did BAyUP, a 6-week missions trip to Oakland I went on two years ago. I had a great time helping out with the kids alongside Christian community and learning about God's love for the poor. Since I am graduating in June, I decided to take some time to be a part of another internship where I can experience Christian community and work with them to help others. I looked into a few different internships, but this one stood out to me because it is one where I can grow professionally as an engineer and spiritually as a Christ follower.
Engineering Ministries International does engineering work for Christian ministries in developing countries. I will be doing office work in Colorado Springs, Colorado as a water resources engineer from August 19 until December. Additionally, I will be going on a 1-3 week trip to a developing country to do some field work. I do not know yet where I am going, but I will be sure to let everyone know when I do know.
We get to offer the ministries in developing countries design work free of charge; in order to make that happen, we raise our own finances. Interns all raise prayer support and financial support from their communities so that the community becomes involved in the sending of each missionary. If you would like to become a prayer or financial supporter, you can either go to www.emiworld.org and click "donate," then find me under "interns" on the donation page, or ask me for an envelope to send a written check to EMI. Thanks for reading!
